I am Juan Mendez an Arizona Democratic State Rep. I recently won my Senate primary and have no opponent in the General Election. Ask Me Anything about AZ Politics and how you can help me keep moving Arizona forward.

Mr.Mendez, I live in a small rural town in Southern, AZ. The entire time I've lived here, we have had a road with a continual "pothole" problem; Everytime the county comes to fix the road, they fill the holes with asphalt and leave; without elaborating on the details of "bandaging" the problem; In some places, potholes are across both lanes forcing drivers to drive on the shoulder in some locations. The road is Ruby Road, which connects Arivaca to the historic ghost town of Ruby. Recently 3 AZ representatives came down here to campaign, one of which, when asked about the road, disregarded our concerns of it altogether, leaving the town quite upset and concerned with how the county handles our infrastructure problems. Due to this town not having a town counsel or representing board, as far to my knowledge, means we rely on Pima County for infrastructure maintenance/repairs; My question is this: What will you do, or can you do, to ensure that small rural communities in Arizona receive proper infrastructure maintenance from county governments, that do not have a town counsel or local representative board, and that these repairs are properly maintained?
