I am sick of parents interrupting my class during zoom!!

Ugh. I know. They might have the best intentions but it might not come across that way (at all). I feel like zoom calls are like text messages sometimes. Awkward at times and on zoom you’re all like, where the hell do I look? Did they receive it how it was intended? Maybe...

I wouldn’t let parents cross boundaries. Don’t take any crap from them. Sometimes they’re happy to hear from you, other times they’re trying to help you, or make sure their kid isn’t doing something embarrassing.

I would sent out a blast and tell them that you’ll be happy to do parent community building (virtual play date) in the first 5 min while everyone joins, and after that put the kids in charge of disciplining the parents. Have the parents chose a kid’s chore if the kid has to discipline the parent for interrupting :)
