Am I wrong for sharing my opinion here?

Hello, lifelong WI resident here (41 years) and I can heartily say I’ve been a fairly conservative leaning person my entire life, just to preface this post.

I’ve been all over, personally and professionally. In my short lived life, I feel as if I have seen all that this state has to offer. Within my travels, I have learned a few things about the people that reside here. We are a stubborn bunch. Wisconsinites are a proud people who have the hospitality of the Midwest and by that I mean its backhanded and outdated.

I grew up in rural WI (Merrimac) and lived there for 24 years before moving into the “big” city (Madison) to work as an independent contractor (plumbing). I saw this type of hospitality more and more as I grew older, and now more brashly than ever as 2020 chugs along. Just empty altruistic gestures with ulterior motives. What happened to state solidarity?

What I am getting at here, is this - it does not matter where you are from or where you currently reside, are we not all in this together? As a state can we not work together to further our union for the better?

Just wear a fucking mask, guy. I want to get back to normalcy without having to worry that some dumbass thought that loving thy neighbor was a fucking chore.
