Amazon accused of stealing tips from delivery drivers

That’s why I pay the drivers in cash when they show up. I’ve talked to a few and most said they rarely see tips. Granted, it could be people not tipping, so who is to say.

Sonic is another one. I work on the road and make a good living, plus get a lot of per diem. I was tipping big on the Sonic app. No delivery, just order when I left work and it’s ready when I’d get to the store. Most people would thank you for a tip, but they never did, which I found odd. Not that I did it for the thanks, but most people would say thank you. So I asked one day that I was curious if they got tips from the app. She told me the store got it and they’d have to share with everyone. So now I pay the carhops in cash. It’s up to them if they decide to declare it and share it.
