Is Amy Schumer actually a bad comic or are we just sexist?

Most of the hate spamming under all her videos and obsessively stalking and downvoting everything she's in is just pure misogyny, I don't think it's that difficult to decipher what it is especially if you've been following Amy for a while. I've been a fan of Amy's since maybe 2013 and I remember the time before she hit it big. The comments were all about her weight (lots of 'whale' comments), she got so much shit for her appearance. Men hated her obsessively because a) she wasn't allegedly hot enough to be on stage and b) she talked about sex like "a slut", but opposed to being called that and men hated that too about her with a passion. It got much worse after Train wreck, because suddenly she was getting more gigs and interviews. 12 Angry Men is just basically about her experience interacting with her online audience.

No one who's seen most of her material or who's listened to her interview would say she just talks about her vagina. A big reason why she was a hit with me was her societal commentary on things like rape culture in foot ball, rape culture in the military, ageism, sexism in Hollywood and the music industry, slut shaming, racism and autism. She's pretty self-aware and she listened to her early audiences. I think she's pretty great.

She's really fucking crass, but she's not Howard Stern level of crass and somehow people love Howard while hating Amy. So yeah, there's a lot of misogyny there, no question.
