Anti-marriage equality ad to be broadcast on Australian TV tonight

Gawd these people are ignorant fools!! Points:
1. LGBT de facto couples can already have children in multiple ways. Marriage is LITERALLY just removing the discriminatory wording from the Marriage Act so that gay couples can sign the official paperwork that recognises what's ALREADY BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS IN DE FACTO RELATIONSHIPS. Also... I say 'gay' because many members of the LGBT community can already get married.
2. How is allowing LGBT couples to get married going to remove a 'mother or father'? As stated, LGBT couples can still have kids (adoption, surrogate, IVF...etc). In many of these situations there is no living biological mother/father, or it's through a donor/surrogate. Are they REALLY saying that they oppose adoption, sperm/egg donations and surrogate parents? Their opposition to this has nothing to do with marriage.
3. I grew up with a single mother caring for me and my mother is AWESOME. Is this ad saying that because I didn't grow up with a dad, I'm somehow deprived? Straight parents raise kids by themselves. Many people grow up without a mother/father for multiple reasons.
4. I think this group really needs to take a look at current laws. If you're an LGBT parent and you have a kid (either as a single parent or in a de facto relationship)... there is often nobody else who can have a legal claim for the child. You can register 2 same sex parents for a baby on their birth certificate and they'll be the parents. Introducing LGBT marriage does NOT CHANGE ANY OF THIS!!!! Kids grow up with the parents who have custody of them... whether biologically or by choice... this applies for both straight and LGBT parents. Marriage is in no way related to this and marriage would not change the legal position of custody. All it would do is allow LGBT couples to sign a piece of paper and say 'we are now MARRIED' rather than having all this 'well we are in a de facto relationship... these are OUR children and yeah... for most intents and purposes we are married, however, because Australia is increasingly isolated with regard to its policies relating to LBGT marriage, we're not technically married'.
5. Who says that all LGBT couples even want kids? Marriage is about 2 people coming together voluntarily to the exclusions of all others until death. That's all it is, and it is already the case that LGBT couples are voluntarily choosing to be together exclusively for life. Once peoole understand that that's all marriage is about, they can move on and stop discriminating...

Ignorance is the heart of all discrimination. Instead of spreading discriminatory propaganda, these people should be out there educating themselves and learning about what ALREADY HAPPENS.
