Anyone over 21 could grow weed at home under proposed Ohio ballot initiative

This isn't coming from our politicians. Our politicians tried there best to keep a bill like this from ever seeing the light of day with the absurd mmj program Gov Kasich is pushing through.

So far with this proposal it looks like you would be able to grow 4 plants at home with no restriction on any amount you are allowed to possess otherwise if you're 21 and over. The wording isn't final yet by a long shot but they are saying that we'd handle pot like alcohol so for a commercial grow or dispensary you'd handle it in generally the same way that you'd obtain a liquor license. So folks could still grow at home (it can't be a grow in public view though) and though everyone wouldn't be able to grow commercially it will be MUCH more accessible than Issue 3 proposed .

Unlike Issue 3 that wanted to hand grows over to only ten people this one want's to set up a free market pot system in Ohio so if you believe you and your product can compete in the market place and you put the money behind it like you would if you were opening a bar or (sorta) brewery then you'll be able to do so.

So Must be 21. 4 plants for home growers. Home grow can't be in public view. Commercial grows/dispensaries handled like alcohol. No public smoking. The Medical in Ohio will still be in place for those that want it. Um I know I'm forgetting something but basically that's it for now.

They aren't done with the final language (and are taking suggestions at responsibleohio.com ) but so far this looks very very good and this may be the last time we see a bill anywhere near this good here for a very long time.
