Are You Wrong or Right on Being Childfree?

I'm in the "childfree is a state of mind" camp. Don't want kids and not raising them willfully? Then as far as I'm concerned, that makes you childfree. A definition that can be forced away from you feels gross, tbh. Being childfree is a huge part of who I am and my personal identity, I'm pretty grossed out at the idea that because of a bad situation possibly out of my control, that could just go away (rape, my iud fucking up and me not noticing in time to abort due to other medical issues, a shit situation where my much younger brother were to be homeless for some reason, etc) I dunno, bingos and shit are bad enough without people actively in the community playing exclusionary identity politics for the sake of...What, pedantry?

If you had a child but have it up for adoption and aren't raising it, you're childfree as far as I'm concerned. If you're a teacher who doesnt want kids of your own, you're childfree. If you're a parent with the kids regretting your choices, well, you're probably not childfree tbh unless you're not actively involved in raising them. I don't really see the point in a pedantic strict definition, I guess.
