Babysitting family is expecting A LOT…

Yikes. How comfortable with you at explaining all this to them? As a former lifeguard myself, I too would be very apprehensive to take on a job like this. And not just because of the pay, that’s ridiculously low for 20 kids and the fact that you’d be doing it by yourself, but also because they think it’s possible to play in a pool with 20 children while making sure all 20 of those children don’t drown or that something doesn’t happen to one of them. I would explain to them that they’re neither going to need another lifeguard, or another person to be in the pool. Everywhere I’ve ever lifeguarded, there’s always been at least two lifeguards on duty. I’m sure you know that. Some people are just, ugh, not with it.
