I've found a few people on mugshots dot com, via google. One was a guy I met at a meetup party, who wanted to see me more. Despite my finding him on mugshots, we actually did see each other a few times, nothing serious. Iirc his charge was DUI from several years before (he was in his mid 30s at the time we met). He did allude to me about having some struggles in his past, and nothing bad happened with him and me.

Then there was another person i never dated, but got to know as he was a rather frequent 'fixture' near my place of employment, in an area with several homeless shelters/ supportive services for homeless people. On first glance, he was an old man with a snowy beard and twinkle in his eye who you might take pity upon. After further exposure, foul vibes, and checking mugshots dot com, he was an unregistered level 3 sex offender who'd done time for sexual assault on a minor under the age of 14.
