Even though we both voted for Biden, I can only say one of us seems truly enthusiastic about that. You have no clue what my desires are motivations are, and for you to presume that, only strengthens my argument that you are a Democrat or die voter. and you don’t really care about with other members of your party or members outside of your party think. And that’s OK, because if Bernie were the candidate you would’ve voted for him too. You would’ve stuck that sticker on the back of your car, and marched your way to the polls to unseat Trump. And based on the youth movement in your party, a candidate like that is not far away. So I’m going to thank you in advance for your vote. Stick that little “D”next to your name, tuck it under your pillow and sleep well at night. You have secured the moral high ground.

But if you Keep marginalizing this part of your base, you’ll find yourselves in similar footing as the Republicans right now. We actually have a chance to make real progress, and all you want to do is stand around and watch Biden undo what Trump did. I get that that’s important, but the minute he got in office he started walking back all of his “progressive” policies. wavering on drug reform, wavering on the $15 minimum wage, wavering on nationalized healthcare, do you want me to keep going it’s only been 30 days?

He has shown he is just as out of touch or uncaring as every other elected official we have in Washington right now. But you keep defending them like they’re serving your interests when they don’t give a fuck about you. I’ll never understand that, and that is a weakness I’m willing to admit. Good luck maintaining your safe middle. Those votes are aging out, just like your ideas.
