"Rebel scum" is a reference to the alliance fighting against the tyranny of the evil empire, Darth Vader, and the Emperor looking to cement control over the Universe. That is not who these people are. Ever though the mindset of a MAGA/Borbert supporter is that they are just that, an underdog fighting a righteous battle for the soul of the country, albeit completely disillusional.

If we want to draw a more accurate picture, in our world, these "rebels" have been tricked by the Empire to fight against their own best interests. The empire being led by corporations and dark money from foreign agents corrupting the Senate.

Anyway, so outright calling them Rebel Scum is in their eyes exactly who they think they are. Call them what they are. In the nicest terms it's the Misguided, the Ostensibly Armed and Racist, the Nasty. Bunch of MORAN's.
