Sorry, I'm just cruising through, but if you're honestly curious, I'll fill you in on my Sunday. Granted, I live in Japan, so it's a little different for me than you, I'm sure, but anyways.
I matched with a girl on tinder who lived in America for a year, so her English was pretty good. We talked about bullshit, like what are you into, what do you do in town etc. A week went by with no communication, and then she started sending messages again. She casually mentioned that there was a show at a live house she wanted to see, and asked if I wanted to go. I said sure, and then we switched to a messaging service (Line). Met her at the show, watched a band and danced a little, and then got some food together at an Okinawan themed restaurant. They had no dessert (she wanted ice cream) so I suggested we grab some ice cream from a convenience store and watch a movie back at my place. We opened the ice cream and started the movie. I started absentmindedly stroking her hand, which she was cool with, so I went for a kiss and that was it. We ignored the movie and got down to it.
It's nice, but hookups aren't ever really satisfying, if that makes sense. She had a shitty attitude the next morning, and laid around my apartment until late in the morning. I mean catatonic, glued to the futon, like a fucking slob. I tried rousing her a couple times, but I got fed up with it because I really don't even know her that well, and I've never had a Japanese girl behave like that before (they're usually super cool about talking in the morning, or hitting a cafe together) so I watched the Sopranos until she finally got the hint and left.
That's one example. The other girls I've slept with here came from meeting in person at a bar, and striking up a conversation. As far as America goes, the most important thing I found was having a good social circle (friends) because it's usually at social meetups/parties that you can either pick up girls, or make new girlfriends. I could meet some pretty girls just hitting a bar, but there's a lot more opportunity for sketchy fucks. Meeting within the context of a friend circle keeps everybody relatively honest.
As a side note, don't expect to come to Japan and have girls lining up to suck your dick. If you aren't approachable/attractive/socially aware, then they won't give you the time of day.
