This is gnawing at me so I'll poast.

A few weeks ago, I matched with a woman on Hinge. I asked her if she would like to grab a drink on Fri of that week and she couldn't, so we scheduled the date for Sat afternoon.

We met at the bar and had a few drinks. Conversation went extremely well, although I may have talked too much. I don't usually do that. We hugged and that was it. I followed up to tell her I had a good time, and gave her my number since Hinge was about to shut down for Android users. She texted me the next day, and we set up a dinner date for the following Saturday (which was last Saturday). Initially, I asked to meet up at 8:00 and she said she wanted to meet earlier, so we went with 6:30. I initially figured there was a chance she had another date scheduled later that evening, but that ended up not being the case.

So Saturday comes along, and things are going extremely well. We talked for hours, and I walked her back to her car. She then offered to drive me to my car, but wanted to just sit in the car for a while because she still felt tipsy. So, talking in her car turned into making out and groping each other in the back seat. The windows fogged up like that scene in Titanic. And she gave me this look that made me almost melt. I asked if she'd like to go back to my place and she said she wasn't ready for that, but we continued to mess around for a while. We were getting tired so I asked if she'd like to crash at my place and cuddle, but she declined. Then she drove me back, we talked briefly about going out again next Friday but that we'd work it out over text, and I went home. I texted her good night and she responded quickly with the same.

I worked on Sunday, so I texted her late in the evening to see how her day was going. She responded a few hours later but didn't give a lot of info. She doesn't seem to be much of a texter so I didn't read into it.

I texted Monday morning asking if she's free this Friday evening, and didn't get a response until this morning, like 21 hours later. Normally she takes like 12 hours to respond. And she just said that she can't on Friday and maybe we could get coffee next week.

I told her this was fine, but that I was also free Saturday (didn't look like that before when we talked). I also sent her a short message to "clear the air" and let her know that eventhough I asked her to come home with me, I enjoyed spending time with her and wasn't looking for a quick hookup. No response yet, and maybe that was a dumb thing to say.

I know she's busy with work this week, and I just saw her Saturday, but the slow response time and the fact that I got bumped out to next week really sucks. And I feel like it might be a fade. I've been on a TON of dates with like 40 women, it's made me cynical and bitter and I usually don't give a shit, but I felt really, really smitten with her. I haven't liked someone this much in a long time. And I thought maybe she felt the same way.

Maybe I'm fine, or maybe I'm getting faded on and she's seeing someone else. It's none of my business, of course, but not knowing is eating me up.
