Couple people asked my Aunt to put trigger warnings on her posts...this is her response. Quick way to lose respect from anyone who’s not an asshole.

Which part?

The part in the beginning where she says she thinks it’s not helpful, I’m sure it isn’t for some - but it’s not the same for everyone. Some people aren’t ready to deal with their triggers due to a myriad of circumstances. Why should she get to decide for them?

The part where she says we will never get to a place where everyone will know everyone’s triggers....right. Technically the truth. But to say you won’t put trigger warnings on things knowing you’re triggering some people is what’s upsetting.

What baffles me the most is it takes at most two seconds to write a TW. I would do it if someone asked me to out of respect, which I think she’s lacking here. That’s the only points I’m trying to make and why I think it belongs here.
