What you want out of this game is a very narrow, very specific thing. If that game doesn't scratch that minor specific itch, then it's no good to you. HW will scratch that itch, for a very brief time before the exact same "omg all content is worthless" feeling comes back to you. It's all just a matter of what you do to distract yourself from that feeling, with all the other things there are to do.
If glamour isn't content worthy to you, then you might just want to leave the game. A very large part of everything in most games out now is done for pure aesthetics. 90% of Gold Saucer is 'glamour' or aesthetic. Why go for a Fenrir mount when a quest reward chocobo mount does the same thing? Since they accomplish the same goal, everything else is useless in comparison. Right?
Why raid and kill bosses when you're already max level? Getting new gear doesn't do anything besides change how your character looks, and change some meaningless numbers. Getting achievements for doing things is useless, as achievements are worthless. The whole game is a waste of time as once you do everything one time, there's nothing new to do or any reason to do it more. Right?

If you think like that, then you're better off going somewhere else to try to get that itch scratched. I've been playing this game every day since ARR Early Access, and there's still a bunch of shit for me to do. I still need achievements. I still need to get 4 more Lucis tools so I'll have them all. I still need to finish Final Coil. I still need to do Chocobo Racing more than once. I still need to win the Jumbo Cactpot Lottery so I can get cards and mounts. I still need glamour gear from Gold Saucer. I'm still missing TT Cards. I still need most of the primal ponies. I still need to do PvP more than a handful of times, as I'm missing mounts/gear from all that. I still need gil because I only have 1 Zeta relic, my other classes are all stuck with Zenith. All my combat classes need i130 gear.
TLDR: There are a metric shitton of things to do in this game. If you're not interested in any of them, that's kinda your fault. HW will add more of the same types content that's already in the game. It might keep you entertained for a short while, but you'll still find yourself growing bored after you do things once.
