Why do Danny Green/Kawhi struggle against defending Klay and Steph?

1) When a guy built like Kawhi with his size is going to guard someone as quick as Curry.....he's going to get beat sometimes. That's just the nature of how things are. You cant ask a bulky 6'7 230 lb to stay glued to Curry and not get beat once in a while.

2) Danny Green is also 6'6 210 lb. Again this isnt some super small dude. A big part of his defensive value is how he can take on 4's for stretches also. Green's defensive strength is his versatility, understanding of the Spurs system and how he rarely makes true mistakes ie being wreckless, overly gambling etc. He is someone who will give up some penetration, at his size the lateral quickness just isnt there to not have that happen going up against explosive guards every once in a while.

3) Klay Thompson is a guy you can play awful defense against and he can score 10 pts or you can play great defense against and he can score 35.

He's someone who is big enough to get his shot off and is comfortable taking contested jumpers. He's too good running off screens and the Warriors are too good running plays for him for him not to get chances to take those contested jumpers. When he hits them there isnt anything anybody can do about it. And that is how you would characterize alot of the shots he hit last night.
