A day without Latinos

Has anybody actually had a bad experience with illegals?

Yeah. My father rented to a family of illegals for years. Not sure why, I guess he felt bad for them? I was a kid and didn't know enough to ask questions. Anyway... They had two anchor babies, so they got to stay in the US. Girl anchor baby grew up, got knocked up. I went to high school with her. She called her baby daddy her "husband," and he stayed with her regularly, but she told me she was able to get more assistance if he did not officially live with her, so she was a "single mom."

The whole family was into some shady shit. Stolen stuff and pot, mostly. They also trashed the place- poured used motor oil right on the ground, cooked entire pigs in the backyard and left the bones laying around, threw condoms over the fence rather than in the trash, etc. When my dad eventually kicked them out (I was grown up by then) we went into clean and it was pretty disgusting.

Girl anchor baby had kept things decent in her part of things, but mom and dad apparently didn't learn anything about cleaning in Mexico. Found a dead rat in trap rotting under the fridge, dead mice under layers of rugs they had put down, etc etc. I think the stovetop bothered me the worst though. I guess they fried things all the time but never bothered to clean up the grease. It was caked above and around the stove. There were finger marks in it all over. http://imgur.com/lh46JkV

Later on, I bumped into another Mexican guy who lived up the road. He lived and worked on a dairy farm owned by some guys. Either he or his wife or both were illegal, I forget how it was. Anyway, he had these horses. One was an old mare, and she had a colt. He let the colt grow up and breed his own mom. Their inbred baby turned out OK, but all three horses were NOT well treated.

The stallion kept breaking out, trying to get back to breed his mom or find food and water. Mexican dude eventually tied him to a barn wall. Didn't bother to feed or water him much. The stallion got a cut on his shoulder, Mexican did nothing. http://imgur.com/eWWS7pu http://imgur.com/cYFrJ4a

The mom and baby were kept in disgusting, tiny pens made of broken metal junk. http://imgur.com/O2kLt6H

I tried to be nice and educate him about what horses/animals need to live. He wasn't interested in regularly feeding them, much less vaccinations and hoof care and crap. His philosophy was that the horses were alive, therefore they were fine. The mare got an eye injury and went blind in that eye. I eventually made a deal and bought all the horses from him. I paid way more than they were worth because he said they were "racehorses." Apparently he had raced them on a local dirtbike track against some other Mexicans and their horses. Special "vitamin shots" helped them go faster, he said, but they were expensive.
