Dentistry as an art form

I studied dental assistant as a hobbie because I like dentistry but my main career and what I do is in humanities so once I cross both interests and I teached information literacy in dental school for graduated people who wanted to teach dentistry.

Once talking about art, one told "I like to think that I make art but in a weird way, when the artist dies his works lingers on time, so the artist is eternal, but we, the dentists die with our patients, everytime a patient died I felt like a litle part of me died too, my work in his mouth went with the patient, the tooth I sculpted burned in a crematory, so when I die some patients will have a part of me till they die too and then my art will dissapear forever"

This made me sad but it was beautiful, so yes I think it´s art.
