DFL LGBTQ caucus calls for resignation of St. Paul councilman

This reminds me of, I forget what year it was (2012?), but I did some canvassing in north Minneapolis for the DFL. I lived there at the time, it was fun to get involved. One issue was some bullshit proposal for voter ID (obviously pointed against black people), one was for same sex marriage. There was serious vocal support against the voter ID issue. People were informed, and no one wanted it (which was good). I was personally surprised that the same sex marriage issue got almost no support in north Minneapolis. Like maybe 1 in 20 of the ~100 people I talked to vocally supported preventing a ban on gay marriage. I remember looking at my clipboard and wondering wtf was going on. North Minneapolis = St. Cloud on that issue (or maybe worse?).
