A different point of view.

a coercive system

There are certainly elements of our system that are coercive. But protecting people's right to keep the things they create with their time and labor is not one of those elements.

That said, how do you think that private land ownership isn’t theft from the birthright of the commons?

Name a country where all property is owned collectively (no, Scandinavia doesn't count, as people there still have private property rights.), where you think it works. The reality is that wherever "collective" ownership of "commons" has been implemented, what ultimately happened was a minority of people in the government ended up effectively owning and controlling everything, and everyone else was functionally a slave to the elite's whims.

Or do you think such a system can be implemented without a government, to avoid such corruption? It might work for a village of 10 people for a period of time. But do you really think a "no property" system would work with no enforcement agents in a country of 300 million people?
