Discussion Thread: General Election 2020 - Polls Open | Part 5

I am actually not worried about these exit polls at all, since they're a small snapshot of only today's votes. 34% of people said economy was their driving factor, indicating Trump voters. Racial injustice/health care/COVID combined ranked high on what was driving people to the polls, and that indicates Democratic voters. When you look at it holistically the GOP isn't running away with this.

48% of people think that he's handling COVID fine? That's reflective of his base. The GOP didn't need a slight win today, they need to CRUSH Democratic votes to make up for all the early voting / mail ballots in the bank. Do you think that's happening from the exit polls? Unlikely. I'm the most cautious person there is but nothing there made me extremely worried, it's pretty much exactly as I expected (even better because it didn't indicate a HUGE tilt towards Trump as he needs).
