So I got in and I’m not eligible. I have to prove I was intentionally misled and that I suffered specific financial harm as a result.

I can’t prove that I was denied employment due to where my teacher credential was obtained (even though I suspect I’ve lost out on jobs because of it). I’ve always been able to find a job.

I do believe however that I deserve forgiveness for many reasons that are hard to document-

the way I was recruited

the way I was treated while a student and subject to peer harassment that deans did nothing about

the way they altered my transcripts and dropped a bunch of units affecting my salary

how I had federally backed private loans that excluded me from PSLF until they did the temp expansion recently

how I have paid my loans for 18 years without making a dent in them. How do I owe 35k, make payments for 18 years and STILL owe 35k???

But it’s just not a fight I’m willing to take on at this point and would likely not prevail as it’s hard to document a lot of this.
