Basic arc idea for Detective Comics:
Commissioner Gordon gets a new detective working with him. This new detective was top of his class with history of solving cold cases. New detectives detective skills are equal to those of Batmans. He’s really good and though he could do good for Gotham. He thinks that Batman would do much better for Gotham if everyone knew who he really was an he’s a hero to the people as a person not wearing the mask. He sees that Gordon and Batman have a close relationship.
New detective told to back off and starts to be suspicious of Gordon who keeps insisting that there’s nothing. Goes behind Gordon’s back and starts investigating the city’s top ballers.
Since new detective is really good, he cross analyzes Batman’s movements and height/weight and suspects highly on Bruce Wayne. Meets Bruce in person and notices same habits, posture, language as when he met Batman on rooftop one night with Gordon. Collects the evidence and presents to Gordon the findings which are to a T but Gordon refuses to take it to a judge for a warrant. New detective gets warrant for Bruce’s home from judges that don’t like Bruce Wayne (Bruce didn’t donate to their campaigns). New detective shows up to Bruce’s home and takes military tech (since they think it’s Batman) and sees that there is something behind the wall. They make Alfred open it and find out it’s the bat cave. But Alfred self destructs te batcave. But officers lost their lives in there and some were able to collect weapons that were all made from Wayne tech.
Detective collects enough information to go to Gordon and demand Bruce be arrested. Gordon believes him and being a man of law has no option but to arrest Bruce. Batman is not seen since Bruce is in jail and Nightwing tries to take his place but new detective is able to see it’s a different person so he is more sure it’s Bruce Wayne as Batman.
Gotham is in this new detectives favor and are demanding Bruce Wayne serve time.
Joker comes to jail getting him out because even though he knows who Batman is, he knows without Batman, he would have no purpose. Everyone is scared that Joker has got Batman on his side and crime wave in Gotham lol and then idk I’ll think of the rest later.
