I will say yes that the average guy in a LTR or marriage can inspire soft dread without actually trying but only if the wife is aware of women's mating strategies.

If dad bod husband has the income and personality that draws other people in, then the wife, if clued in, will know that other women will want him.

Deep down I know I have to compete with the single moms who want a provider for their kids, the woman who will become attracted to him because of his easy going attitude and income, the younger girl attracted to a older man with community respect.

I'm calling the above soft passive dread. This is what inspires me to hit the gym and eat healthy, besides the obvious health reasons.
