EPA Approves Continued Use of Pesticide That Causes Brain Damage

Do you ever read about something you know a lot about and think "that is the most agenda driven, fear inspiring, piece of shit article I have ever read." The scary part is the average can't, won't and shouldn't need to educate themselves on the subject. So they read an article like this and it is very convincing even though it is all bull shit.

Pretend you know nothing about the concept of driving a vehicle. I write an article and claim. Driving has the potential to kill 1 out of every 40 who do it, it is so easy almost everyone but a small child can operate a vehicle, the nature of driving requires moving 1000s of pounds of steel at speeds in excess of 90mph, people drink a drive all the time, virtually every personal who drives regularly has had a near death experiences (at least the ones who lived), and to top it off CHILDREN are in many of these vehicles. The child death number in 1000s of every year!!!

Now none of what I said was a complete lie but it was all very embellished, sensationalized, and presented in a way to create fear. Hell I even used the old "think of the children ploy" the OPs article used. What I didn't mention is the fact we have traffic police enforcing laws, rarely do you operate a vehicle at 90mph, you can't drink and drive, numerous safety features exist to protect occupants, drivers must go through safety training to operate a vehicle. And the auto industry and government invest millions each year into safety research.

This is what this article did. Yes this stuff is inherently dangerous. But just to use this stuff a person who has had years of training and proofed their competence over and over again has to make the recommendation. This ensures the product is needed and it is also safe to do so. Than another trained professional applies the product. These people ensure safety, rules and regulations are followed. If they make a mistake their careers are over, their special licenses are pulled. This isn't Farmer Joe and hired hand Down Syndrome Billy out using these products, they are highly educated and trained individual. Despite public perception the industry is very concerned about the environment and health. The EPA is far from buddy buddy with everyone. They have rigorous scientific standards that must be met for registration and every 7 years the products get reviewed to ensure safety.

TLDR: this article is full of half truths, meant to inspire fear in order to scare an uneducated population. These people are no better than the anti-vaccinator crowd or those who deny climate change.
