One was about 6 years ago. I had been wanting to get layers in my hair for a while. I was bored and took too many bong hits and decided I should watch youtube videos and do it myself. It looked awful and a hairdresser ended up having to cut maybe 5 inches of length to fix it. Don't cut your own layers. Just don't do that.

Then, maybe two years later after I grew it out my aunt's birthday present to me was a balayage service because she knew I had been really wanting one but they were expensive. So I went to her favorite hairdresser and the end result was hair that looked like it was dip dyed starting around my temples, bright orange, and super patchy. It was awful and it was a few days before my 21st birthday. So I went to a different salon that did some voodoo magic shit on it and I ended up with really beautiful looking hair, but it was so fucking damaged. I promised myself that I would stop doing stupid things to my hair after that and since have only used color depositing conditioners (like Arctic Fox and Aveda) if I feel the urge to change my hair color.
