Have you ever wanted to build a game and never did? What was it about?

I once had the idea of making a very detailed political simulator for Israel. Kind of like Crusader Kings 2 only modern middle eastern style. I'm an Israeli and I think politics here is fascinating. Here are just a handful of the inner political conflicts in Israeli politics:

1) Religious - There's a constant battle between the Secular, Orthodox, Traditionalist, and Religious Zionist views for control over the religious identity of the state. Israel currently has a lot of religious laws (Shabat, Marriage etc.).

2) Ethnic - Racism towards Arabs and Mizrahi Jews is very common, especially in communities where there is a white majority like the academics and businesses. Even in the two dominant political parties there is an overwhelming of white polticians. Aside from that the arabs are totally shunned from the political debate and are never considered as potential partners. Not even by the left wing parties. All this is happening within the Israeli borders.

3) Economic - Our government is corrupted and is allied with the big monopolies that control the market. One good example to demonstrate this is that our governing party is currently fighting alongside the big energy conglomerate (noble energy) to pass a law that would minimize the tax on the gas and maximize the export. Another interesting phenomenon is caused by our very large weapon industry. Lobbyists of weapon manufacturers push for armed conflict whenever possible. Most of the Gaza wars had happened partly due to this.

4) Homeland Security - Okay that's the very famous part. We're holding occupied territories in violation of international law. We hold millions of Palestinians with no voting rights and restricted movement rights and all the other Shenanigans.

5) Military - That's also famous. We are surrounded by Arab states which are unstable themselves and some of them are very hostile towards us. That's not mentionins Gaza and the

6) Foreign Relations - That's also famous. The UN is a constant battlefield. We still have the US to support us at the UN but lately the relations have deteriorated. What will the future hold?

In short i think a political simulation where you play a parliament member that uses every dirty trick/provocation to build his reputation/power while heating up the region in the proccess will be great fun. AND very educational.
