Yeah don't get me started ... On stuff that's supposed to be a simple password reset for windows...

Them: "Hey I need a Password reset, I can't log in"

Me: "ok sure, I have reset your password to Generic123, as soon as you log in with this IT WILL PROMT YOU TO CHANGE THIS PASSWORD FOR SECURITY REASONS"

Them: "oh great, I will try this now (silence on the phone for a while, hear some windows sounds).

Them: "nope... Not letting me log on"...

Me: "ok... What error is it giving you?"

Them: "it just isn't letting me log in, keeps saying password as expired, please change password"

Me: "CLICK OK CHANGE THE FUCKING PASSWORD LIKE I TOLD YOU IT WILL PROMPT YOU TO FUCKING CHANGE IT"

Them: "oh right ok"

Me: "password must be at least 8 characters with at least one capital letter and at least one number, also can't be one you recently used"

Them: (typing sound) (windows noises and sounds) (it's like an orchestra over there with error noises)

Them: (2 mins later) "ffs it just won't let me change it ....)

Me: (sigh) "what errors?"

Them: "keeps saying my "old" password is incorrect.... But I don't know my Old password which is why I needed it to be reset"

Me: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT YOUR OLD PASSWORD IS THE ONE I JUST RESET IT TO: "Generic123" put this in the old password box then confirm your new password twice !!!!!"

Them: "ah right ok..." (Typing)(windows orchestra again)"nope not letting me change it"

Me: (silently go back into AD, unlock account again because the fucker can't even change a password, reset the password again but this time set it so he don't have to change it major security breach but fuck it I been on the phone for 35 mins now)

Me: "click cancel on password change, try logging in again with Genergic123"

Them: "yay I'm in!" (Sends good feedback email to my manager)

Me: frustrated however I realise I may not have a job if it wasn't for idiots like this guy
