Every major project I've put together.

All contracts are now written requiring each trade to be responsible for the entire drawing package. Not just their respective trade. Design teams literally perform zero coordination now. Their entire job is to sketch something decent enough to get rough pricing then put the responsibility to finish their shit drawings on the GC. Cover their asses with horse shit ambiguous notes. I’ve had engineers in meetings brag about their favorite notes to include that can later be used to fuck the GC and subs. Design team pushes responsibility on to GC, then GC pushes it on the subs. Subs take the risk but drive up the cost (why shouldn’t they). Leaves the job at a massive risk because at every layer of the contract each party thinks the other one has it coordinated. Which means we’re just marching into this shit blindly.
