Why exactly is homosexuality forbidden in the Bible?

I can understand this reasoning and I say it is compelling to say the least. Then again, it may be a very long way to a clear-cut answer to this. In relation to what you said in the last paet of your comment, I don't think anyone should be forcefully ostracized for their sins or shamed publicly for believing in certain things that a large group doesn't. While I do believe that homosexuality is sinful, I do not think people who don't should be shamed into thinking it is. It's hypocritical, really. Christians were once a group who were shamed, ostracized, or even killed for their beliefs and now, many people who proclaim to be Christians are doing the same thing, thinking that having people not believe in the same things as you is somehow dangerous.

Honestly, if any LGBT people are reading this, it is not my intention nor my mission to force you to believe in what I believe in nor to see life as I or a few people in a certain religion see them. I respect your beliefs as I hope you respect mine and I do not want to marginalize any of you.
