Facebook censoring atheist pages in India. Interesting because if facebook is censoring globally regardless of nation, culture, or creed, this suggests a greater problem for atheists communicating on social media.

I don't think it will be possible to force a global corporation to comply to any single countries free speech laws; The fact is: if you tried to Force Facebook to conform to only the laws in the U.S. you would be violating numerous commerce treaties. If push came to Shove Facebook could pull up stakes and move to Canada or some European Union country which would welcome them and their revenue with open Arms. Corporations are only beholding to their board, investors, and national / International laws governing the business they are engaged in. Your free speech claims end once the user agreement you acknowledged when you joined Facebook is invoked to govern what you are saying. You have to think of Facebook like a private club; you only have the rights that were agreed upon when you joined and one of the lines in that agreement stated that they can change the rules at any time and you are obliged to conform to what they decide. You have no say in what the actual policy is; unless you are a voting member of their investors. Of course; you can always try to take your argument to their millions of members and they could vote with their feet and simply delete their accounts but, I do not think you are going to have any luck there.
