"Fifty shades of grey" is considered a romantic story only because the guy is a billionare. If he was living in a trailer or in a shack somewhere in the woods it would be an episode of "Criminal minds".

as a kinky feminist myself - your post is so filled with crap i don't even know where to begin.

Ok, I'm a raging feminist. I keep saying that no.... women don't just want men for money because we're not all fucking goldiggers. Or no, women don't need to be controlled or told what to do - it's not romantic, it's fucking abusive

Women (and men) can be conditioned into roles. Certain traits, are influenced by genetics to an extent. Trying to seperate nature and nurture without really being educated about it one way or the other can be a messy discussion.

Fuck, maybe women just are that stupid

See - you're not a feminist.

aybe I'm in the minority in that I don't want people to turn up at my fucking house, verbally abusing me, forcing me into things I don't want, and ruining my relationships with my friends. Maybe I'm weird.

Just because some people have a fantasy - which is a fantasy..it's fiction (or at most, it's roleplay) doesn't mean you have to want to be abused. Your logic here is no different than Christians who think because we allow gays to get married that they too will have to get gay-married.

And that's not even starting on the fact that IT'S NOT FUCKING BDSM. That's mean to be consensual.

Lots of BDSM fiction plays with control, power, surrender and consent. Fiction gives us a canvas to harmlessly explore these things - the only reason people are enraged by 50 Shades is because it went maintstream.

No one batted an eye when Story of O (movie and book) exploded. Or Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. Or the movie Secretary. Or countless other movies. Not to mention the huge volume of BDSM porn that role plays with consent.

Oh and of course he only likes it because he was abused. God forbid someone just like some kink because they like some kink - they have to be broken in some way.

While you have a point here - many people are into really kinky shit and it just didn't come out of no where. I have reasons for all my extreme kinks (cuckoldry, attraction to femboys/cd-men, etc..)
