You're probably thinking of totem mastery. That's just an insta-cast where 4 totems drop at once that give you 4 different passive buffs for 2 minutes. You can just macro it to a spell to manage uptime. Then you have a slow totem, a stun totem, and a totem that prevents fears and stuff. Super situational. You don't actually need to keep dropping totems at all.

Ele is good. Lots of utility and the damage is fine. Good ST and they can keep up in aoe assuming you're doing large pulls in dungeons. You're going to feel like you're not keeping up if your group single pulls in dungeons. They can't do that much dmg to like 2-4 mobs. They do well in Raids. They are good in arena and bg's. Not a bad class atm.
