First on CNN: Justice Department will not defend executive order on travel restrictions

This is 2017, not 1776.

I really wish people would understand this. An assault rifle will not take out a drone. It will not shoot down a plane. It won't even bring down a helicopter. If the government really wanted you dead, it wouldn't matter if you had all the guns in the world- they'd just drop a fucking bomb on your head.
The only way a rebellion against the US government would succeed is through foreign intervention or a huge portion of the military breaking off and supporting the rebelling citizens. Until that happens you would be hiding in our rural areas and fighting a desperate guerrilla war, hoping that the people that live in those areas don't turn you in to the government that they by-and-large support.
And afterwards, if you do somehow succeed, the country is going to be radically different. If a foreign power intervened on your behalf, they would probably balkanize the country to prevent it from becoming a threat. If the military joined you instead, you would end up living in a fucking military dictatorship.
This isn't even accounting for the billions of dollars of damage done to our infrastructure, counter-revolutionaries that will be fighting against you (there are a lot of right-wing militias out there, they won't go away if you win and will fight while you're fighting the government), and potentially hundreds of thousands of deaths. Oh, and Trump will probably murder the family members of any revolutionaries, since they'll be labeled terrorists.
