The First Republicans to Break With Trump Over His Groping Tape Were Mormons

I was raised in the LDS faith by parents who spent their entire lives in the church, and on one side had a Mormon lineage back to the earliest times of the religion. I stopped practicing once I moved out of the house and I disagree with some of the tenants of their religion.

However, I get real riled up when people make Mormons out to be bad people. Sure, like any group, there are bad apples - those who are not representative of their faith. I'm my experience however, I have found that the vast majority of Mormons are good, kind people who want nothing more than to live in peace and spread the happiness they found (which admittedly can be annoying).

I find it incredibly disrespectful and rude to dismiss an entire people out of hand because of one bad experience or falsehoods. I see it happening far too much to various races, religions, and peoples.

I would like to thank you for your tolerance and understanding of your LDS neighbors despite having (what I assume are) radically different views. It is very refreshing to hear.
