Follow-up: Uber bans rider for life over threat to accuse driver of rape

Women do get punished for false rape accusations. But I'm happy you don't know that. It's a good thing its not publicised enough for it to be common knowledge, otherwise it might deter people who were raped from coming forward.

But as bad as making people worried about coming forward is, accusing someone of rape, even if it is never proven, can ruin someones life. its only fair that someone who falsely accuses someone is punished. It's just finding that balance.

There for they are only punished if it is very clearly proven it was a false accusation(Like a video where the women threatens to accuse someone of rape like this one...)

At which point, you have to have broken many crimes to get to that point off falsely accusing someone.

Filing a false police report,Obstruction of justice, Perjury, and so on.

It's probably better that way, than having an actual crime made especially like, False rape accusation.

Everyone can understand, if you lie in court, and you lie on a police report, you are breaking the law, even rape victims understand this and accept it as a good thing. There is no real argument against this. Being punished for not being able to fully prove that someone raped you, has an argument against.
