Fox News host Shep Smith defends CNN in monologue: No journalist 'should be subjected to belittling' by president-elect

What happened in the past day can be summed up very easily.

Buzzfeed released an unverifiable "intelligence report" 9 days prior to the inauguration (acting as if theyre wikileaks, or giving one last chance to "share the truth"). All night and into the morning the public,(who dont research or read things themselves) were lead to believe this was factual, irrefutable proof of a Russian/Trump tie. CNN took this and ran with it, hyping it up. Many other news organizations "reported" on the "report". No claims, more so opinions or synopsis. The issue is, if youre reading a trusted sources article but that source obtained its info from "bad" sources, or sources who obtained bad information. It can cause alot of confusing and assumptions. There were a few major publications who have sat on this "35page intel report" for months to a year and couldnt verify a majority of the information. So it was chose not to run because thats proper journalism. You lose credibility if you pull a stunt like this.

In regards to trump telling the CNN reported to pretty much stfu. If you watched the video he would not stop talking. Trump said no first politely and called on someone else and he continue to go on and on. That isnt professional. Even if someone came by to tell him if he does that again he will be "thrown out", I dont see an issue with that. That was a legitimate disturbance and they wouldnt have said that to anyone who did something like that at a major event like this. I say major because its right before the inauguration and the previous day there was a shitstorm on the internet about these documents so the air needed to be cleared.

This isnt some crime against the first amendment, or some complete rejection of media. He was allowed to be there and report and see first hand. Front row too.

Also Fox vs CNN vs MSNBC, who cares. This past year really showed the American public how dishonest, childish and to be honest, moronic these "news" organizations are. We live in a world where our Experiences and Information construct our own little reality bubbles.
