Getting sterilized next week

So I haven't had this surgery, and I'm not even a woman, so I can't say anything from experience directly. I have a family member that had surgery recently for endo, so similarish.

I'd just say that a really important thing to remember is that doctors always have to highlight the risk of things even if it is infinitesimal. Because if they don't, people sue them if anything goes wrong. I think they even shy away from getting into exactly how low risk something is sometimes. Any procedure that involves going under is going to carry some risk, but you are probably at much greater risk driving to your appointment than you are from the procedure itself. It might also help to realize that all the steps they are taking and asking you to take are taking that already tiny chance of a problem and cutting it down even further.

Hope that maybe helps a little!
