Given everything we are learning about how corrupt the Republican party is, do you feel a little more likely to believe that 9/11 may have been an inside job or collusion with the Saudis?

Inside jobs are WAY too risky this day and age.

It is much easier to just ignore early warnings, which the US authorities had plenty of.

Operation Northwoods (rejected by Kennedy) proposed using aircraft to collapse the WTC and pentagon and blame it on Cuba to justify invasion. As sketchy as that is, I still don't think US authorities have the gall to directly involve themselves in such a scheme, especially since the hijackers were Saudi Arabian and that's technically our ally. It makes no sense to use Saudi nationals if we don't plan to invade.

Based on the comments of Bush and Condoleeza Rice, "nobody could have predicted using airplanes as missiles", I think it is more likely that the US knew and allowed it to happen.
