I appreciate you making the distinction there of Classical Liberals (like myself). The LP is always in an internal fight for power between the Anarchos and wannabe cool kids on one side, and the Classical Liberals who seem to the still think the LP is a valid vehicle on the other.

People judge based on appearances so I can't completely fault the people shitting on libertarians, but I do fault them on not doing their due diligence because it's about the biggest tent out there in terms of personality types and viewpoints among members. The problem is mostly that it's the shitheads that get the press for doing something idiotic like running around saying "TAXATION IS THEFT" as if that's a solid gold persuasion tool.
