I got expelled from college, how will this affect applying for another school?

I assume you are a freshman. This will be harsh, but fatherly love is conditional.

Do you like making money? I suggest you focus on making money. Avoid doing bullshit just because you don't have a degree. You are valuable in your own right, which is why they let you into college in the first place. Only 70% of us all have diplomas, only 30% of us all have bachelor degrees. If fucking whatever. Focus on the present, and not the future. You fucked up because you are so disconnected from the world. Be here now, and stop trying to plan out what you are doing next year and setting your clock. You are limiting yourself and should free yourself up to make whatever choice will most help you in the immediate future. Going back to school is important, but its certainly not urgent. It may even be free before you turn 30.

Take a broader view of your success. This is what makes you unique now. It is your weakness. Strategically, it makes most sense that you try to spin it as a strength. Make it so.

You might want to consider opportunities that arent predicated on you going back to college next year, because adjusting to college wasn't difficult. You chose to fuck it up. If your goal is just to get a box checked, or to hide from the world until you feel safe enough, you should save yourself the time, trouble, and debt. Fuck Americorp. Go work for organizations where your coworkers are older than you are. You need to own this completely, and fast or else you are going to stink to anyone who interviews you ever.

At the end of college, you know where you will be? Where you are right now. Except you will have a sheet of paper. Not to diminish the value of it, because degrees are super important. But they are not urgent for you. The most important thing for you (and for us all) is those five minutes you have with someone. Work on yourself. Make yourself someone worth knowing. And Maybe get a psychiatrist to discuss why you decided to go full retard and get expelled, you dumb motherfucker. Find your own way, and if the door is closed ask it to open. Get a linkedin profile and message recruiters in your area. Don't overexplain, just ask for advice and say "I want to understand".

At this time you really need to be looking for jobs that have a payoff if you are killing it. Otherwise you are wasting your time. Go prove you can fog a glass years before your friends get unpaid internships. If you go into the Americorp you will gain little just to say you are sorry and want to go back to college. Its not interesting at all. Its cookie cutter shit. Send out your resume to people who have a chance of rejecting it. Look on indeed and craigslist. Hit alumni up on Linkedin and ask them for 5 minutes to chat and just ask them questions. Ask the alumni if they know of any opportunties. Just dont go from institution to insitution hoping someone will show you how to be a person.

I would suggest waiting to even consider college again until you are back on your feet. You could make 30k*3=90k by the time your friends graduate, REAL QUICK. Frankly most jobs for someone like you pay 30 and you are expected to move up after a few months. Without a college degree, you can make much more than that in the next four years. Just be humble, be honest, and put yourself out there. People are going to assume you are a bit of a dumbass, so working hard is the edge you have to make money on.
