Well, as someone who is physically too unwell to work and cannot get any benefits, a part of me wishes I was a 1950s housewife; had a husband who was the breadwinner and I could be a housewife as I am too unwell to be anything else, but then I look at people I know born in or before the 50s and even back in these so called good old days, there were not many men who cared to be bread winners or even faithful, and even my grandma alas got involved with an extremely horrible man who only got with her because her father was wealthy, she had a kid to him and her forcefully made her adopt her out while he went with someone else, in those times society gave a woman no choice (1930s). There's no such thing as the good old days or a perfect marriage in any time in history. I am damned lol
