Had a minor lowside a week ago - CBR250R

Hi all, had my 1st accident last week and thought I'd share the footage. I apologise in advance for the profanity but I was a bit annoyed that I'd just dropped my baby.

Firstly I want to say that the lad in the video that helped me get the bike back up was an absolute legend and I really appreciated the kindness of a stranger.

Here's a basic run down of the entire situation before and after the accident: The speed limit on this road is 60kph and I take this corner pretty much everytime I commute plus some. Anyways, I'm riding along at about 70kph when I begin to slow down for the corner (which I'll admit to having taken a bit faster previously without issue). I've already adjusted my speed down to about 60kph and am being steady on the throttle trying to maintain the 40% front and 60% rear weight balance. As I go into the corner there is a painted line intersecting it where you must give way to pedestrians if they are present. But as you can see there are no pedestrians out at this point so I continue on my way.

As my rear tire (pretty much new only had about 900km on them including some twisties) hits the painted line it slips out from underneath me in an instant causing the bike to go down like Thor's hammer on my unsuspecting foot.

I slide along trying to remain in control but it all happens so fast there's just no way I could control my trajectory. Next thing I know I'm on my feet and my work pants are all torn up. But worse than that, a sight I've only seen once before. My bike was laying there on its side all fucked up from hitting the ground at 60kph.

Seemingly out of nowhere an Aussie lad comes up to help me get my bike and myself out of danger. I can't thank this guy enough for helping me out as I clearly wasn't thinking very clearly with all the adrenaline coursing though me.

Now I'm on the footpath with my bike and the guy that helped me has vanished before I can even say thank you to him. I took my helmet and all my gear off and was assessing the bikes damages and trying to figure out where my day was going to go from there.

All of a sudden another guy pulls up with his wife and asks if I'm ok. I said "I think so but I don't know" so he pulled over (he was going to anyway) and got out of the car. He told me to just sit down if I could and to relax and take some deep breathes. Turns out this guy was a rider himself and had been in my position four times in his riding career.

He goes back to his car and gets out a giant emergency kit and immediately goes to work on my road rashes knee. Spraying some kind of antiseptic on it and cleaning it up before applying a bandaid. Then we assessed the damages to the bike together as he asked where I was heading. I was only 2 mins away from home at this point.

We figured the forks weren't damaged and the only real damage was a snapped clutch lever, a snapped left peg, bent gear lever, and a bit of cosmetic damage.

As if he hadn't helped me enough already, he then offered to ride it home for me whilst his wife gave me a lift home as I was in a bit of shock and not really ready to ride home.

We decided that was a good idea and we're putting the wheels in motion and were about to leave when an ambulance happened to pass by and offer to check to see if I was ok. The ambulance staff checked over my wounds and made sure I don't have any breaks or anything, basically commending the kind stranger on how well he treated my rash. The ambulance left and I got into the car and directed his wife on where to go to get me home as he followed behind on my bike whilst wearing my gear.

This has become a bit of a long post and I apologise for the wall of text. The kindness of strangers really made the biggest difference that day and I can't thank them enough for how much they helped me.

If you have any questions just comment and I'll try my best to answer them.
