"The idea that transgender people will attack children in a bathroom is a total myth, and yet Christians adamantly believe it. Why would Christians believe a myth?! Oh wait... nevermind."

Of course you're right, but you're not looking at it in the same context as him. His point is about prevention and not about justice after the crime. With the way it is right now and always has been (adults male humans who have sexual desires and church's with children) it raises a flag when you see a adult human male with sexual desires going into a church with children. Hypothetically in the situation of seeing that it allows for you to address it in a number of ways, whether confronting them or even just being ready to help if problems did arise.

The problem arises when any human male adult with sexual desires can say they identify as any religion and be given the pass to go in that church with children in it. If they opened the churches to whatever religion you identify as it may not cause a ton of problems, and will most likely (hopefully) never cause any problems for you or anyone you know, but overall it allows horrible people to abuse it ( child molesting priests)

It removes a lot of the ability to be preventative of problems in the situation which is what people don't like. You would be ostracized for being outwardly concerned about seeing a adult human male with sexual desires walk into a church with children in it, because they could "identify" as that religion, so how dare you prevent them from that, right? But without any real way to confirm or identify what religion someone truly identifies as atm (with dignity anyway) it's just not such an easy situation.

I am not against** adult human males with sexually desires** whatsoever, the problem that arises from this is purely the ability to abuse it by anyone. Honestly it wouldn't really affect me, my main concern would be for women and children who more often than not wouldn't be able to fight back if a** adult human male with sexual desires** decide to abuse the system. And again, this is not to say they wouldn't be punished. They would. The problem is that it increases the odds of stuff like that happening a lot, which is obviously not a great thing and post-crime justice isn't the concern here like pre-crime prevention is. Feeling unsafe and nervous when you see a adult male human with sexual desires in your church because you wouldn't be able to tell if it was a adult male human with sexual desires trying to abuse the system or a genuine religious person would be incredibly uncomfortable for both parties.

I don't know what the correct solution here is, but I hope adult male humans with sexual desires will understand the concerns (that are not related to them) before pushing too hard for it to be rushed in such a way that problems like this could arise. It's not a black and white issue, some people will be using their hatred of adult male humans with sexual desires to oppose it and they're idiots, but there are genuine reasons to not enact it that their (unfortunate) spite does not diminish.
