Impossible is Nothing

That's funny because my Dad did move there years ago. And he did very well out of it. So maybe I will, thanks.

And hey, now all the Australian's here (in AUS) are up in arms about the rich Chinese buying all our property and farming land and sending all the prices sky high. I say full credit to them, they went from zero to hero in 10 years. Japan's all geared up for the rich Chinese tourist market too now, how times have changed. Mate that's pretty good for slaves.

There's an old relevant anecdote here about the Chinese in Australia. In the Eureka Stockade (a big rebellion in the gold fields of the 1850s \ 60s).

The white miners operated single leases on a plot of land that they purchased and then worked for months or years. They were in it for themselves. Vast numbers of Chinese came to work the gold fields too, but they worked together. They would spread out and search for gold. Then they would compare their results amongst each other and could get and idea of which direction to search. If there was more gold in the north than the south, move north. This helped the Chinese out perform the Europeans. The Europeans \ Americans got angry and violence ensued. Many of the Chinese were robbed, chased out or even killed. Look up the Lambing Flat riots. The whole thing is analogous to today. The Chinese out perform us so we get defensive and go into attack mode. Mate the Chinese have been here nearly as long as us, what makes it more ours than theirs, we just stole this country off the Aboriginals anyway. Maybe the Chinese have some pretty good ideas and can help us if we work together (something Australians don't understand).

Just look at what China is doing with Solar. They added the entire country of Australia's worth of solar power in just 6 months In 2015 China will install 14GW of solar power, 25% of what the entire world will install.

To contrast with the Australian Governemnt. One of the first things the Abbott govenment did in 2013 was to cut spending on renewables. They axed a provitable investment fund that invested in renewables He abolished the climate commision He serverly cut the Australian Science research agency CSIRO. Now he has slashed our renewable energy target and is trying to shut down wind power based on "health concerns"and visual amenity. They even have a committee looking into it despite the fact that it is a non issue.

The issues that are important in this country are (apparently) the almost negligible illegal immigration and terrorism. Somehow the media here is convinced that there is a legitimate threat of Australians turning to ISIS. The biggest story for weeks has been that the gov wants to strip dual citizens suspected of terrorism of citizenship. This story dominates the media even though it probably only applies to a few people. The government was just about trying to shut down our national broadcaster after they let a muslim who was tried and aquitted of terrorism ask a question on live TV.

Australia is going downhill pretty rapidly, yeah it's still a great place to live but if it keeps on this trajectory it wont be for long.
