Jump on Demand (JOD) - pay sales tax up front?

FWIW, the other carriers all charge a similar fee, and in the case of Verizon AT&T and Sprint, it's more expensive - and you don't have a choice, ever. This fee can at least be avoided by doing a JUMP or JOD upgrade. Not advocating it, or stating that I agree or disagree...but there's that option at the very least. I do apologize that you feel like were lied to. Reps shouldn't be bundling this in as 'sales tax' when it clearly is a separate line item on the receipt as an 'Assisted Service Fee'. I can at least agree with you there. I've sent this feedback up already - as there have been a handful of scenarios where this fee is being applied where it shouldn't be. Example: Broken phone, no insurance. Customer knows what they want, is not assisted in picking out a replacement, and does not need to transfer data. Still hit with a $20 'Assisted Service Fee'. By the definition of this charge, it feels wrong to me in this circumstance. There are others...but that's just one I'm starting to see more and more.
