Justin Trudeau brownface photo surfaces ahead of Canada election

I dunno, I've definitely learned a lot in the past 10-20 years and can honestly say I'm a changed person. I might still be a dick at times but I went through a super cringey edgy phase in my early to middleish 20s, and since then my entire worldview has changed. The edge mostly left by the time I was 29 though and I really think he should've known better in 2001, but it's really just a few years' difference, and if someone has demonstrated a change in attitude and can openly discuss their past wrongs, clearly say they were wrong, and show they've moved on, I think I can move past it. People aren't perfect, after all. In his case, that was 18 years ago already. 18 years ago, I was simultaneously racist as fuck and a Jesus freak. Go figure.

Now keep in mind I say this from a place of white privilege, so I don't blame anybody if they can't forgive this.

For me, it's not that you've done blackface in the past. It's who you are today. Your actions will tell me that more than your words.
