USS Liberty is in every history book and every anti-Semite has got a hard on for that ship and brings it up every single freaking time like it’s got some talismanic power against defenders of Israel.
Yeah. Israel shot the hell out of the USS Liberty and a lot of good sailors died. And Israel apologized numerous times and gave millions and millions of dollars to the survivors and families.
But let’s go deeper since you are an expert.
What happened?
One of three things.
Fog of war. Maybe. Happens a lot. There is a possibility.
Israel wanted to destroy the Liberty because it might transmit war activities to the Soviets in order to blah, blah, blah. Maybe. No evidence of that.
The Deep State wanted Israel to attack the Liberty because it would create justification for the US to enter if needed and the Egyptians blocked the Suez Canal. Maybe.
In any of the above cases, why the hell do idiots drag out Liberty every time someone mentions Israel is a decent ally to America?
