Kids

I would love to take you for a beer and have a real discussion, but seldom are things that simple. Let's take the environment. The baby-boomers are an American group and represent only a percentage of the global contributors to that issue, which started before WWII, it was tied to the industrial revolution (yes, it accelerated during the war).

Point is, and I believe the truth is, much more nuanced than what you and so many on Reddit like to go on about. Most people act in their own self interest, that is true, even you, it's natural. But I also believe, most people, act with the best of intentions and are basically good, you included. There are always unintended consequences and I know it is easy to blame others when things are broken, but what goes does it really do? Quite frankly, a lot of you guys are going to have to deal with the next generation blaming you for spending so much time complaining and very little time focused on fixing the problems they will get to work to fix.

(Oh, the moron comment was when I thought you were trolling, so apologize for that, you actually believed what you are saying)

All I'm saying is, band-wagon mentality isn't healthy, and your rant, while there may be some elements of truth, is only looking at things in the worse possible light and filtering out so much positive. The information technology age started in 80's, and was built upon the work of so many you would consider the baby boomers. They built the foundations of the technology which you are using right this second to have this conversation. The advances in medicine and science since WWII would done by them, which you now enjoy. Hell, they put a man on the moon for crying out loud. We live in a time with the least amount of war (yes, it's true) globally than ever before, better food, better health.

you comment about "retire off out money" you know they paid into social security their entire lives, entitlement is the right word, when you have paid your entire life into the system with the promise of that retirement benefit, you will be entitled to it as well. Hope we don't screw it up so it's still there for us when we need it.

We are all just human, and this anger isn't particularly useful in fixing anything. I get it, you feel let down. Life isn't fair. You are only "more competent" in your own eyes, from their perspective, when all they hear is one side, exaggerated anger, you are not competent, you are immature and not ready to lead in a level head manner.

I do agree things are mess right now, and I don't know the answers either, but I don't see the point in raging almost incoherently. Let's stop blaming and start working to fix. You/our time will come, and when it does, it will take more than blame to fix it.

Sorry for what you will see as a rant, there is no anger in what I am trying to say.
